We use an R7s connector because it gives you a straightforward, rigid electrical interface. It locks the tube in place and handles the high current without loosening when the shop floor gets shaky. The tube body is coated to manage UV leakage and keep contaminants off the quartz. That coating helps keep output stable over the life of the lamp. Out on the line, that translates into fewer hot spots and less variation in cure quality.
