Introduction

We built this custom UV lamp for one simple reason: to put up with the brutal on-off rhythm of a KTK elliptical machine’s flash-drying cycle. In industrial water sterilization, a lamp can’t just burn out every time the machine pauses. It has to fire up instantly, hold steady, and survive the shock of repeated starts and stops.

The Power Behind the Pulse

Here’s the thing: it’s not just about cranking out UV. It’s about staying tough when the machine keeps starting and stopping. We engineered the lamp to ignite clean every single time, and to keep its wattage steady—no matter how often the cycle cuts out and kicks back in. That means the power circuitry and electrodes are perfectly matched to the machine’s rhythm, so you get performance you can count on, even when the process keeps halting and resuming. We designed the lamp to handle the surge of a rapid restart without hurting the arc or shaving years off the electrodes. The internal parts are built to take repeated high-voltage strikes, not just run continuously.
